Lily is an illustrator and 3D artist based in Toronto, Canada.
Hey Lily. Can you tell us a little bit about your tape and your song selections?
This tape was inspired by that feeling of loneliness, your first crush, and the dramatics that can only come from being in high school. I remember listening to these songs on repeat anytime I felt moody (which was often), and I know most millennials will relate to this playlist in the same way.
What direction did you take with your cover art, and what was your process?
I was inspired by my childhood bedroom which had purple walls, and sheer blinds over the windows. I had posters of music I definitely did not listen to, to feel edgy and cool. I referenced a photo I took of my current bedroom when I woke up early and the sun was just starting to rise, I thought the colours were a great representation of that muted emo feeling.

I’m currently at school again doing a Graduate certificate in Computer Animation! On the side I still do some designing and illustrating, mostly for my friends at High Tide (DJ team).
