Luise is an illustrator and visual artist based in Berlin.
Hey Luise. Can you tell us a little bit about your tape and your song selections?
It is a dreamy playlist, made for a trip with your spaceship through the stars. The songs encapsulate a feeling of loneliness, longing and freedom, but also a sense of childlike adventure.
What direction did you take with your cover art, and what was your process?
I wanted to experiment with a visual language that captures both the futuristic and technological associations that come with the topic of space (a graphic visual language), but also have elements of a childlike adventure (bright colors, pencil drawing).

My parents have an intense hippie background, so it was a lot of Bob Marley, Bob Dylan and classic rock music.
And what’s on heavy rotation for you at the moment?
It has been all over the place. Lots of IDM and lo-fi house music and then randomly a lot of US hip-hop.
What’s happening in your creative world at the moment?
I just finished working on a bigger project that is different from what everything I made before. Its a 40-page book exploring the trope of vulnerability through a naive and child like visual language.
