What’s up Luke. Can you tell us a little bit about your tape and your song selections?

My tape has been compiled with some of the most stand out tunes from club nights and festivals I've attended over the last 12 years. When racking my brain to think of all of the amazing moments I couldn’t help grinning. It’s been a real pleasure to choose the tunes featured in this playlist. Hopefully we can all dance again soon.

What direction did you take with your cover art, and what was your process?

I wanted to make the cover art fun, happy and colourful to brighten up these dull times.

I used my smiley logo as a repeated pattern in the background, then I overlaid one of my fonts ‘Heroes’ which I created during the first lockdown last year in homage to our NHS. I wanted to keep it really simple but effective. I created the art in Illustrator which is the creative software I use most.

I've picked a couple from my D&B record collection. The first is the Lanta Nights EP by FD on The North Quarter. Every track on the EP is solid and I really dig the textures and the colours used on the artwork.

The second is the “Come Together” single by Urbandawn on Hospital Records (which I’ve included on my tape). One of my favourite DJs Andy C dropped it at a festival in Margate a couple of years back and it went offffff. The artwork resembles the classic shot of the Beatles on the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios but with psychedelic twist.
