Patrick is a manufacturer of visual matter from the glamorous Market town of Newton Abbot in Devon, England. He currently lives in Cardiff, Wales.

Howdy Pat. Can you tell us a little bit about your tape and your song selections?

Well, after much deliberation I decided to not make, but to edit what has been a project spanning years. My running playlist. I know it’s weird but I use running as a meditative process where I collect thoughts, thrash demons and process. I would deeply recommend listening to this on shuffle. One minute you're running your best mile to post punk, then out of leftfield you get Glass and you’re back to wrestling wolves again. Of course, this could also provide a great soundtrack to cooking spaghetti or your ninth birthday party.

What direction did you take with your cover art, and what was your process?

It was psychogeographic in practice. I made the list, put it on and ran it’s length fast in the heat. I allowed the image to find me on the course of what ended up being a half marathon length run.

What are your fave album covers, records with a great music and artwork combo, or musical projects with a visual component?

What did you listen to growing up?

I did it (warts and) all. Hard dance music, UK garage, rap. But really I cut my teeth properly on skateboarding videos. My brother and I had a magnificent tower of VHS tapes and we devoured the soundtracks, as well as taping indie punk off the radio.

What’s happening in your creative world at the moment?

Well I just finished an MA at University of West of England (UWE) which was great so now I’m just finishing a piece of work for the BBC and starting on some album artwork for Young Borra.
